Ayre, Richard
Richard Ayre was born in Northumberland, Northern England, and now lives in Newcastle upon Tyne where he continues to write horror fiction. At an impressionable age he fell in love with new wave heavy metal and rock music, and at the same time read his first James Herbert novel. The combination of these two magnificent things led him to write Minstrel’s Bargain, a tale of music and horror. Minstrel’s Bargain is the first novel in the Prophecy Books series. Richard has also written Minstrel’s Renaissance, the second of that trilogy, and Point of Contact, a sci-fi chiller, as well as the short story anthology A Hatful of Shadows. When not writing, Richard can be found zooming around the Northumberland countryside on his motorcycle, Tanya. Bartolome, Joshua
Joshua Bartolome is a Filipino-Canadian writer living in Calgary, Alberta. His prose poem, The Cadaver, was shortlisted for the Montreal Poetry Prize, while in 2017, his screenplay, The Red Death, won the Silver Screamfest award for best horror script. Aswang, a tale of poverty, misery and violence, was published in the anthology, Tales of Blood and Squalor. Another short story, The Last Confession of Dottore, will be published in the upcoming We Shall be Monsters anthology. Beauchamp, Richard

Horror!, Darkling’s Beasts and Brews, and The Literary Hatchet. Her poem, The 5 Stages of Being on Hold, won third place in the 2018 Wergle Flomp Humor Poetry Contest. Her short story Out on Arrowhead Road appears the anthology It Came From the Garage! Recent projects include finishing a novel for the first time in forever and putting together her first collection of poetry. Lucian Clark is a Southern New Jersey born and raised author. They have had both fiction and non-fiction works published on websites such as The Advocate and in the anthology Werewolves VS. Their love of horror started at a young age when they first watched Hellraiser, and since then has dominated their tastes in film, writing, and gaming. While a fan of horror’s many genres, monsters and the paranormal have always been king. When not writing or reading, Lucian spends their time on social media and playing video games. Fairbanks, Douglas
Douglas Fairbanks (no, not the Douglas Fairbanks, it should be noted) is an enigmatic individual. If there are two things he enjoys above all, they are being different and telling a good story. Perhaps he gets it from having been conceived on an oil platform off the coast of South America to a Belizean mother and an American expatriate father, a claim that serves these purposes splendidly, despite his unwillingness to corroborate it. Regardless, he is an unnervingly talented individual, in the sense that he is at his best when he is getting things done for others, so long as they don't ask how he does what he does. That would "spoil the magic," as he is wont to say, and might also lead to indictments, which he is often quick to add. Ever cool and collected—sometimes to disturbing levels—Douglas serves Darkwater Media Group as an associate editor working closely with Ramiro Perez de Pereda. He writes horror and bizarro fiction. Within Darkwater Media Group, he is known as the trigger-man because, aside from his track record of getting things done, there is also his stated reason of: "it just sounds cool, and that counts for a lot." Fonts, Steven M.
Estêvão Magalhães Fonts, better known as "Steven," was born in Minas Gerais, Brazil, in 1977. He emigrated to the United States to study journalism and now works as a freelance photographer. He lives in Deerfield Beach, Florida, with his wife, two sons, and a Great Dane named Abílio. Hand, Jill
Jill Hand writes time-travel adventures based on bizarre true stories. Her novels, Rosina and the Travel Agency, and The Blue Horse follow the adventures of a young woman rescued from a railway accident in 1889 by a mysterious twenty-fourth-century enterprise known as the “Travel Agency,” which is in the business of time-travel tourism. Her work has appeared in eight anthologies so far. She writes science fiction, fantasy and speculative fiction and is on her way to becoming a cyborg, having artificial lenses in both eyes and a spine made up mostly of titanium. Hawkins, A.P.
A.P. Hawkins lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband and their cat, Stella. She spends her free time writing, reading, and caring for a collection of houseplants. She also tries to get outside now and then, and loves to go camping. You can follow her on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. She also writes about space pirates on Wattpad. Kelley, Stephanie
Stephanie Kelley is a thirty-something sci-fi geek who wishes Firefly was never canceled. She has a degree in Journalism from Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania. She enjoys writing in the urban fantasy and horror genres. Steal the Sun, her debut novel, is set in Alaska and centers around a family of supernatural hunters and their gold mine. The novel was released February 13, 2017. Touch the Moon, the second in her Alaskan Hunter series, is out now. Book three of the series, Hang the Stars, is scheduled to be released in late 2018. He has written approximately 200 short stories, most of which have been published in book collections. He has been described as the "King of Horror." Biography courtesy of Wikipedia. Moreiya, Apara
Thrill seeker. Unbridled optimist. Sushi aficionado. Lover of terrible jokes. Free spirit. Friend to all. Sporting an outlook on life as unique as he, Apara writes equally distinctive poetry and fiction, and from time to time delves into the genres of fantasy and horror. Apart from being Darkwater Media Group's unofficial mascot (and unintentionally running up the company's fire insurance premiums), he is an associate editor working closely with Antonio Simon, Jr. Within Darkwater Media Group, he is known as the dragon. He is known by this name outside the company as well, for obvious reasons. Ondrashek, Jonathan Edward
Jonathan Edward Ondrashek is an operations supervisor by day and moonlights as a horror/dark fantasy writer and editor. He’s the author of The Human-Undead War Trilogy (Dark Intentions, Patriarch, and A Kingdom’s Fall). His short stories have appeared in numerous horror anthologies, including the highly acclaimed Rejected for Content and VS: US vs UK Horror series. He also co-edited F*ck the Rules, What Goes Around, and Man Behind the Mask, anthologies featuring work from established and new voices in the horror genre. If he isn’t working at his day job, reading, editing, or writing, he’s probably drinking beer and making his wife regret marrying a lunatic. Feel free to stalk him on social media. Paschall, Nicholas
Born and raised in Texas, Nicholas Paschall started his career in writing at an early age, jotting down stories on scraps of paper when he could and saving them to read aloud at lunch to all his friends. The teachers, upon learning this, asked him to stop as the stories weren’t exactly school-friendly, but this only spurred him on to continue his career as a writer. After a stint as a journalist and editor, he started his career as a horror author. It was brought on by reading a book he found dull and listless, which, after lending it to a coworker, he was informed it was terrifying. He thought he could do better, and has been publishing ever since. He’s been published in nineteen different printed anthologies and magazines, served two years as a recurring columnist for Dark Eclipse Magazine, and is a current columnist for The London Horror Society. His work can be found across the web, where he spins new yarns for all to enjoy on a daily basis. Visit him at www.nickronomicon.com. Perez de Pereda, Ramiro
Born in Cuba in 1941, Ramiro Perez de Pereda has seen it all. Growing up in a time when then-democratic Cuba was experiencing unprecedented foreign investment, he was exposed to the U.S. pop culture items of the day. Among them: pulp fiction magazines, which young Ramiro avidly read and collected. Far and away, his favorites were the Conan the Barbarian stories by Robert E. Howard. Ramiro, now retired from the corporate life, is a grandfather of five. He devotes himself to his family, his writing, and the occasional pen-and-ink sketch. Having worked for Darkwater Syndicate as its chief editor, he is now Darkwater Media Group's Head Acquisitions Editor—that is to say, he heads the department, he does not collect heads, which is a point he has grown quite fond of making. Indeed, it's one reason he likes his job so much. He writes poetry and fiction under the name R. Perez de Pereda, often signing his work with a single, enigmatic "R." Within Darkwater Media Group, he is known as the Captain. Others refer to him as their adoptive Cuban uncle. Still others call him "he who flips desks" despite it only happening that one time—well, that one time that he will admit to, at least. Reiring, Paige

She loves all types of media focusing on stories: novels, television, film, video games, anything. For nearly four decades he lived with his wife Jean in a remote area of the Shropshire/Welsh border hills. They have four grown-up children and two grandchildren who live in various parts of the UK. He now serves Darkwater Media Group as its Head of Business Development and General Counsel. During his time at Darkwater Syndicate, Mr. Simon secured A-list international literary and voice talent for the company's publications. Among them are film and TV actor Matt Weight (FX’s Rescue Me) and stage and TV actor Christopher Walsh (ABC’s Chicago Fire and NBC’s Betrayal). He is also an accomplished multi-genre author, with his work featured alongside master of horror Stephen King and UK bestseller Guy N. Smith. Within Darkwater Media Group, he is known as the Duke, although whether he is in fact royalty of any place real or imaginary remains anyone's guess. Strasert, Daphne

Cavanaugh—or "Cav" as his friends call him—is a highly successful motivational speaker. He is not a lawyer, dentist, or even a motivational speaker, but through the power of delusion (read: positive thinking), he believes he is. He has also served as a director for various multi-million dollar companies and successfully driven them into bankruptcy. Mr. Sweeny now divides his time between lecturing and watching football in his numerous homes throughout the state of Texas, but not in King County as there’s an outstanding warrant for his arrest there. Admittedly, he may be a tad senile, but he more than makes up for this with his extensive gun collection. Turner, Alana

He has several stories appearing in various magazines and anthologies soon. Vossen, Nick
Nick Vossen is a creative writer and author from the Netherlands. He prefers to dwell in the realms of twisted fairytales, magical realism and everything strange and bizarre that is caught in between. Nick is also active in the Dutch film industry where he writes screenplays and works in the art department of several short film projects. He currently lives in the “Deep South” of the Netherlands with his girlfriend and his two cats. Warriner, Michael
Born and raised in Central Florida, Michael Warriner pursued an early interest in learning music and creating characters in hand-drawn comic books. He began his career working simultaneously in the mental health industry and as a character performer at his local theme park. It was while pursuing his degree in Psychology that he began writing stories "just to kill time." Before long, he had written two manuscripts. This developing interest in telling stories was further driven by his fascination with amateur filmmaking. By day, Michael now applies his education and training to assist clients diagnosed with mental illness. By night, he writes novels, and in his free time he composes music. He draws upon these varied interests to create unique characters and thrust them into memorable stories. White, Robb T.
Robb T. White was born, raised, and still lives in Northeastern Ohio—although he did get to China for two weeks once. He writes noir, crime, and hardboiled stories featuring series character Thomas Haftmann. He is the author of the noir/crime novels: When You Run with Wolves and Waiting on a Bridge of Maggots. Crowood Press published Perfect Killer; another UK press, Fahrenheit, is publishing Northtown Eclipse, a hardboiled novel featuring a new series character. Wonder, Peter Oliver
Hidden in a remote location in California lives a man who responds to the name Peter Oliver Wonder. Though little is known about him, several written works that may or may not be fictional have been found featuring a character of the same name. Devilishly handsome, quick-witted, and as charming as an ass can be, Peter has come a long way since his time in the United States Marine Corps. Making friends wherever he goes, there is never a shortage of adventure when he is around. The works that have been penned under this name are full of horror, romance, adventure, and comedy, just as every life should be. It is assumed that these works are an attempt at a drug-fueled autobiography of sorts. Through these texts, we can learn much about this incredible man. |
